"Store wars"

Films: Alien Raiders (2008)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of housecats.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil

Summary: Once again, we're neck-deep in body snatching hijinks. But this time, it's thankfully regulated to a dime-a-dozen supermarket, and you can punch the actual snatcher in the face this time...once it's done ripping out of a person.

History: Arriving on a meteorite, these parasitic creatures found mankind to be the perfect host for their brood. So, they went and infected more than a few people, turning them into effective puppets. But there are those who know their secret, and now the lion's share of aliens are in a supermarket and being assaulted by a gang of ragtag hunters thought to be robbers. Then again, who's afraid of who around here?

Notable Kills: Anytime they get separated from their hosts.

Final Fate: It is known that the only way to kill the raiders is to kill their king, but in the end, that king turns out to be infecting someone no one suspected. Considering the last time we saw said host was when someone was pointing a gun at her, the invasion probably won't get far.

Powers/Abilities: Can infect people's bodies, control them, and if need be, amplify them horrifically to attack threats.

Weakness: Anything conventional, though by killing the king, the rest of the females will die off.

Scariness Factor: 4-Definitely one of the more interesting body snatchers around. The people they infect can go from people puppets to agonized weapons at the drop of a hat, and the aliens’ true forms are a disgusting parody of ancient aquatic arthropods. Just imagine being the guy who had to hold one of those...even if they're a LITTLE cute in a weird sort of way.

Trivia: -This was the first film to be done on the HPX3000 HD camera, one of Panasonic's most renowned products.

-Other titles for this film were "Inhuman" and "Supermarket".
